Beautiful colourful summer wedding flowers at Margam Orangery, South Wales
I have the most beautiful summer wedding flowers at Margam Orangery to share with you today. Rachel and Kevin were married on a perfect August day, in one of the most stunning wedding venues in South Wales. Margam Orangery is a luxury wedding venue and a venue dear to my heart, after all it is where I was married many moons ago. The Orangery is long and narrow with a series of twenty seven tall windows to let in the light, superb for all weathers and seasons; the perfect backdrop for some stunning wedding pictures. It really is an ideal venue for a beautiful wedding. Read on and you will see why.
Rachel and Kevin's wedding at Margam Orangery in South Wales was a celebration of love and beautiful blooms. The couple opted for a bright and bold colour palette with a rainbow of colours, perfectly complementing the venue's natural beauty as well as the summer season.
I promise, you will be blown away by these beautiful photos from Lauren Owens Photography.
I absolutely loved this Margam Orangery wedding; it was an absolute pleasure working with this gorgeous couple on their big day.
Beautiful colourful bridal bouquets at Margam Orangery, South Wales
Flowers played a particularly poignant role in the wedding, owing to Rachel's deep-rooted connection to them. Having grown up surrounded by the beauty of her grandmother's garden, blooms held a special significance for her. I incorporated sentimental varieties like dahlia, garden roses, gerbera daisies, and clematis into the arrangements. Rachel wanted a riot of colour, a relaxed style with lots of texture.
The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.
Margam Orangery colourful summer wedding reception flowers
Rachel and Kevin said their wedding vows at a local church before taking the celebrations to Margam Orangery. The venue was given the ‘wow factor’ with these huge floral pillars that lined the entrance to the reception room. The displays was made using chicken wire and tubed flowers, absolutely no floral foam was used. If you have read some of my past blogs you will know I try to not use floral foam whenever possible, if you would like to learn more about this movement, you can read my blog here. These incredible floral pillars were designed to be photographed and enjoyed at every angle, look how beautiful they are.
Everywhere you looked you could see flowers. A trio of bud vases sat on the cocktail tables. Stunning, elevated overflowing displays sat on tables. Smaller colourful bouquets on others. The top table was adorned with a colourful long and low arrangement. The bridal bouquets were reused either side of this. It was like the garden was brought indoors!
Rachel and Kevin's blooming beautiful summer wedding at Margam Orangery was a testament to the power of love, family and the beauty of nature. Every detail, from the meticulously crafted floral arrangements to the breath taking venue, reflected the couple's personalities and their deep affection for one another. It was a privilege to be a part of their special day and contribute to creating a celebration that will be forever etched in their memories.
For couples planning their wedding in South Wales, Margam Orangery offers a stunning backdrop for a truly unforgettable celebration. With its picturesque surroundings and versatile event spaces, the venue can be transformed to reflect your unique style and vision. As a wedding florist in South Wales, I am passionate about collaborating with couples to create floral arrangements that not only complement the venue's aesthetics but also hold personal significance and add even more enjoyment to the day.
This is what Rachel had to say about her wonderful Margam Orangery wedding day.
