Spring Wedding at Canada Lodge

Just over a year ago I was lucky enough to play a part in the most beautiful wedding at Canada Lodge. When we first met, Nia had the most amazing ideas for her flowers. She wanted seasonal spring blooms throughout the wedding, fresh, colourful and beautifully scented; perfect for the Easter weekend. These photos from Kate Adams are just wonderful, as you will see. Happy Wedding Day lovely people, it was an absolute pleasure working with you on your big day.

Nia chose loose bouquets of spring blooms, full of texture. Her bridesmaids wore different colour dresses, some buttercup yellow, some cornflower blue. Both colours were used in the bouquets to tie the look together, balanced out with creams and whites. I used ranunculus, in cream and yellow, bridal crown' and 'tros martinette geel' narcissi, iris, blue and white muscari, hyacinthoides (bluebells), arvensis (forget-me-not) and tanacetum daisies. The bridesmaids carried bouquets slightly smaller in size. The flowers smelt amazing. Nia wore the sweetest comb of spring flowers in her hair which matched the beautiful floral pocket square Stuart wore.

On the tables were simple jars of spring bouquets that matched the bridesmaids bouquets. The top table was decorated with an arrangement overflowing with spring flowers, this was first used on the registrars table and then carried down to the reception. This is a great way to save money, stretch your wedding budget and get the most out of your flowers. The showstopper of the ceremony was the spring arrangements around the pillars and the greenery garland across the room. They were so effective and looked like little slices of spring meadows. This room is always such a wonderful space to dress, with the surrounding beautiful views this venue is hard to beat.
