For the first time I have collaborated with another talented maker to offer a full day of activities. Join me, Anne-Marie, and the talented Sarah from Fragment Designs for a wonderfully creative day.

What better way to celebrate the wonderful women in your life than to come along to one of Petal Power’s popular flower workshops and make a wonderful floral teacup.

Why not make a day of it by staying to make a beautiful crafted pendant in the afternoon session .

These workshops are ideal for all groups of people, bring your friends, mams, mum-in-laws, grans, sisters - all different ages and abilities are welcome and will love making a floral teacup and pendant. Equally if you’re wanting to attend this workshop alone, you will be very welcome and we will make sure you have a fun time.

How the floral teacup session works

You will choose you own beautiful vintage china teacup and saucer set.

Then I will demonstrate how to create a floral teacup with helpful tips and advice.

You are provided with the most stunning, seasonal flowers and foliage to create your floral teacup. I will be there to offer you help, guidance and support so that you leave the session feeling confident and proud of what you’ve achieved.

Don’t forget hot drinks and cake are included!

How the metal craft session works

Starting from sheet copper and silver you will cut, form, texture, stamp and assemble your own mixed metal pendant.

Watch Sarah making a pendant and run through some health and safety before the exciting part, handing the tools over to you to make your perfect piece! Sarah will remain on hand for any questions or assistance needed.

Plenty of copper will be supplied alongside a piece of silver and a silver jump ring.

All the necessary tools are supplied and cord to string it from with an option to try some fun knots if we have time!

The session will last approximately 2 hours.

Do I need to know what I am doing?

Absolutely not! If you have never been to a workshop before, they really are the perfect way to relax and have fun! Most importantly you have everything on hand to make your very own, bespoke, beautiful floral teacup and your personalised pendant with step by step instructions.

You will be given simple instructions and directions throughout each workshop. The rest is up to you!

You will receive advice and hands on help constantly throughout the class. And if you are really struggling we will ensure you are given extra tuition. We make certain everyone is 100% happy with their final makes.

We are so excited to collaborate on this Mothers Day workshop and would love you to join us for both classes.

Between workshops you will be provided with a selection of sandwiches and cake to give you the energy for the metal work class.

If you don’t want to commit to a full day then you can come to just either one of the sessions.

Anything else I need to know?

The class is being held on Saturday 29th March in Creigiau.

The morning session will start at 11 am.

The afternoon session will start at 1.30 pm.

The whole day will run for around 4.5 hours in total, sometimes a little longer.

You don’t need to bring anything with you. All tools and flowers are provided.

A minimum of 10 people is needed to run the class.

Each workshop costs £45. £85 for both sessions.

Payment is to be made in advance and is non-refundable.

5 helpful tips about your bridal bouquet. 🌼 There are many designs and styles of bouquets. I create mine to have a natural design, with lots of flower varieties and textures. 🌼 Bouquets are designed with a front and a back. I pop a pin in the back of mine for your thumb to sit on making it easy for you to remember. Your florist should walk you through holding it at time of delivery. 🌼 I test your bouquet from every angle to make sure it is perfect, including the sides! 🌼 Personally, I like to cut the stems relatively short so it's easier to sit in the perfect position. 🌼 When holding your bouquet it is important to relax! Don't hold it too high or low. Your hands should sit just under your belly button for the best positioning and pop your forearms on your hipbones. Remember to tilt your bouquet slightly forward towards the camera for the best angle. Hit save to remember these tips for your wedding day

An easy mistake couples make ⬇️ Choosing a florist that doesn't suit their vibe. Every single florist works in their own style and price point. My preferred style is natural and loose but not too wild. Definitely romantic and luxurious, not cheap and cheerful. Most florists have their go to flower choice. I have my favourite flowers which I will use wherever possible, ranunculus, roses, ammi and astrantia. I rarely use sunflowers, gerberas and lilies. When choosing your florist make sure their style aligns with your own. Don't be afraid to ask if you are unsure. Lucky for you I still have some availability for this year. Get in touch!
