White and blue bouquet flowers at Canada Lodge
This wedding I am sharing with you today is a wedding that is really on trend, a colour combination that is becoming more and more popular. These white and blue bouquet flowers are so pretty and were perfect for a May wedding.
Tayler and Kier said there wedding vows at a pretty church local to their home. They then travelled down for their reception at the beautiful Canada Lodge. If you have read any of my blogs you will know how much I love this venue. Found on the outskirts of Cardiff and nestled in the lush green landscape of the beautiful countryside, Canada Lodge boasts breath-taking of views across its shimmering blue lake; definitely a venue worth a visit.
I really hope you enjoy these wedding flowers; these images by Lloyd Jones Wedding Photography will blow you away.
White and blue bouquet flowers
When I first met the lovely Tayler and Kier, they knew exactly what flowers they wanted for their wedding day. In Tayler’s first email she described her ideal flowers as simple and elegant, mostly white flowers with some small accents of dusty blue. She loved peonies and wanted something with a beautiful scent. Really natural looking bouquets, untamed but not too wild - my go to style.
This is what Tayler had to say about her beautiful wedding flowers.
Bouquets for the girls
Tayler carried a natural looking bouquet full of flowers with a little eucalyptus and olive foliage. The shape of the bouquet really complimented the simplicity of her dress and the styling of her hair and makeup.
Tayler’s favourite flowers are peonies so of course I used Bowl of Cream peonies, so beautiful with its many ruffly petals. I also used scented Matthiola and White Naomi roses. Blue Nigella, commonly called Love in the Mist, was used through out all the arrangements. They added the perfect touch of blue to the flowers. The trusty Avalanche rose and snowflake spray roses finished off the bouquets.
The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Tayler’s bouquet.
Reception details at Canada Lodge
Tayler and Kier were married on a beautiful spring day in the family church. The couple chose not to have flowers in the church, flowers were still an important part of their wedding day so they invested their budget at the reception .
After the ceremony the guests then travelled to Canada Lodge. for their wedding reception and after party. I have created the flowers for many weddings at this venue, each time I am blown away by how lovely this place is. It really suits all weathers and is a perfect place to decorate.
Each table was accessorised with these beautiful white and blue bouquet flowers. To save money the bridesmaids bouquets were reused as table centrepieces. I often recommend my couples do this, it is a great way to make the most of your budget which you can then invest in other focal floral areas, such as these floral pillars..
Top table reception flowers at Canada Lodge
The top table was decorated with a seven foot long, luscious, foliage garland with added flowers. Glass bud vases of white flowers in various heights and design stretched the length of the table.
It was all so beautiful and worked perfectly in this amazing venue.
Floral pillars.
Tayler and Kier made the most of their venue by using the upstairs space when they arrived from the church. The canapes and drinks were served here and the guests were entertained by a harpist. I decorated the pillars with these beautiful flowers, designed to look natural, like slices of meadow. As you can see, these flowers really enhance the upstairs space.
So, there you go. Such a beautiful day with the most stunning white and blue bouquet flowers. A huge thanks to Tayler and Kier for sharing their wedding photos and credit to Lloyd Jones Wedding Photography for all the truly beautiful images. I honestly found it hard to choose which images to use, they are all so beautiful; that’s why there are so many!
